Jim and Michelle started Krintz because they truly care about their customers and in providing quality service lawn care. They both grew up in the local area and have 20+ years of lawn care experience.

Krintz Lawn Care services the Greater Lafayette community including Benton, Carroll, Cass, Clinton, Jasper, Tippecanoe and White counties.

Our History

Krintz started from humble, teenage beginnings in 1992 and rose to become one of the top lawn care services in the Greater Lafayette area.

Jim Krintz began the business with just a single lawn mower, working to make some extra money as a fifteen-year-old high school kid in and around the Monticello area. Michelle joined Jim on the weekends as they were dating and would help out. The business continued to grow; Jim and Michelle got married; and both stayed involved in day-to-day operations. Jim is the project manager and is constantly out in the field overseeing Krintz’s various projects, while Michelle is the office manager who manages hiring, accounting, and scheduling.

Jim Krintz

OWNER & PROJECT MANAGER
J im is our owner and project manager. You’ll rarely find him in the office as he is out overseeing crews working on various Krintz projects. He is also our equipment expert and always knows what we need to get the job done.

Jim grew up on a produce farm in Monticello, Indiana called KIDS CORN COMPANY. When he turned fifteen, he went out and bought a lawn mower and mowed lawns throughout his neighborhood to make some extra money.

He continued to mow lawns through college and used the funds to help put himself through school. After Jim graduated, he decided that creating Krintz Lawn Care, Inc. as a full-time business was his best option because of his passion and love for his community and the outdoors.

Michelle Krintz

OWNER & OFFICE MANAGER
M ichelle, Jim’s wife, is also an owner and our office manager. She oversees all customer service, scheduling of projects, bookkeeping, and hiring.  For day-to-day operations, she’s the one you’ll likely find in the main office.

Michelle played an important role in our development. Before Krintz Lawn Care was created, she helped Jim with projects on the weekends. After graduating from college, Michelle became instrumental in helping Jim follow his heart and create the company. Their interests and backgrounds made them an excellent team to start the company. While Michelle primarily works out of the office now, she also has landscape design experience and extensive lawn care experience from her early days of helping Jim.

Tara Krintz

ACCOUNTANT
T ara has been working with us since May 2008. She handles accounts payable and receivable for all clients and assists with our day-to-day office bookkeeping. She loves working with the team because of the high quality of work they provide for each customer, the family atmosphere in the office, and seeing how genuinely they care about each customer and employee.

Tara was a stay at home mom for 8 years and then came to work for us in 2008. Prior to that she worked at a bookstore as a customer service manager and accounts payable and receivable.

Brandi Cooper

HUMAN RESOURCES
B randi has been part of our team since May 2014 and handles all things human resources-related. She loves the work environment and family atmosphere.

She graduated from St. Joseph’s College with a bachelor’s degree in accounting. Prior to Krintz, she worked for West Point Finance as the Executive Administrative Assistant.
