Lawn Installations

When it comes to lawn installations, we know that soil preparation is the key. There are many factors when it comes to choosing the proper method of lawn installation, but do not fear; our experts have the knowledge and will help you to understand and make the right choice.

Here, are few options you have to produce a beautiful lawn:

Sod is the quickest option for lawn installation because it yields immediate results. Although this lawn installation option requires a lot of watering, it is by far the easiest option for a homeowner to take care of and it is the most weed resistant of all lawn options.

We always work and prepare your soil before begining sod installation. This includes tilling and grading to make sure that the soil is loose enough to allow the roots in the sod to deepen. Because our community is important to us, we only use locally grown sod to ensure that it is right for the environment it’s going in and support local businesses.

Just like any other lawn installation process, we will fully prepare the ground by tilling and grading and adding any topsoil or nutrients it may need. When you choose hydroseeding for your lawn installation, no shock takes place to the seeds because the seed starts in the soil. This differs from sod installation, where the grass is instantly implanted on your yard. Hydroseeding is still the second fastest lawn installation process.

During hydroseeding, the grass is grown in a fertile environment known as slurry. Slurry consists of hydromulch, grass seed, starter fertilizer, and water. The water in the slurry acts as an activator and ignites the germination of the seed and begins the process.

If budget is one of your main concerns when it comes to lawn installation, broadcast seeding is your best option. It is best for non-wind environments and large fields, such as farms, horse pastures, or food plots.

Dry grass seed is distributed through a broadcast spreader. Generally, we recommend covering with loose straw and a starter fertilization mix to get your lawn’s growth started.

If your yard is just struggling to grow in a few areas then slit seeding option is great for adding more grass to your lawn. It will help rejuvenate your lawn to a natural health and beauty. We custom blend our seed to provide the best mix possible for the north central Indiana area. It consists of Kentucky Bluegrass, Perennial Rye, and Fescue. This blend contains a wide variety of grass seeds so that a fungus won’t destroy your entire yard.

Does your yard have steep embankments? Is your land an erosion problem area? Are you looking for lawn installation for a government job or a commercial project? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then erosion control blankets will help make your land beautiful and healthy. We have two options for erosion control blankets for you to choose from.

Your first option for erosion control blankets is to grade and seed the area and then add an erosion control blanket, such as a straw mat that is rolled out onto your land. Pins are inserted to hold the blanket in place. This layer of straw is intertwined to help protect the soil and keep in moisture so your land will come back healthy and beautiful. The second option, which is ideal for government jobs or commercial projects, involves hydroseeding with nutrients in a mix of slurry. The slurry used for this option of erosion control blankets is a mixture of seed, glue, and water.
