About James Krintz
James Krintz grew up on a produce farm in Monticello, Indiana called KIDS CORN COMPANY. His family grew tomatoes, green beans, etc. As a part of the family, James was expected to stay at home and help with the farm.
Although he loved this work very much, he was also a high school student interested in making some extra money. When he turned fifteen, he went out and bought a lawn mower. This is where it all began. He mowed lawns throughout this neighborhood, making some extra money as he went along.
His mowing business did not stop when he went to college. He continued to mow lawns and used the funds to help put himself through school. After James graduated from college he still found himself mowing lawns on his days off of work. It got to the point where his mowing business was growing so much that he had to make a decision about whether or not he wanted to go full time with the mowing services and create a business for himself.
Because of his passion and love for community and the outdoors, he decided that creating Krintz Lawn Care, Inc. as a full time business was his best option.
About Michelle Krintz
Michelle Krintz, James’ wife, also played an important role in the development of Krintz Lawn Care, Inc. Sheand James met in college and began dating. She started helping him with the mowing business so she could also make money to help pay for her own college education.
After graduating from college with an Accounting degree, Michelle became instrumental in helping James to follow his heart and create Krintz Lawn Care, Inc. Their interests and educational backgrounds made them an excellent team to start the company.
They have truly grown the business together from the ground up. What started out as two college kids mowing lawns for some extra money has grown now to a business with about twenty employees during their busiest seasons. James and Michelle are still very deeply rooted into the business even though it has grown substantially. They still go to job sites and work on projects because ultimately their community and the outdoors are their passions.
